In Memory of Naomi Ensz

Our mother, Naomi (Becker) Ensz, went to be with the Lord on May 24th reaching the age of 100. Mom was born October 27, 1921 at Marion, SD to Isaac Becker and Eva P. Becker. She attended the Schartner Country School for eight years. She then attended one year of high school in Freeman, SD. She also took a course of Bible Study at the Freeman College.

She married Harry Ensz on December 31, 1944. They enjoyed 57 years of joy and happiness together. They farmed in the Maron, Monroe area for 12 years and then made Freeman their home in 1960.

Mom accepted Christ as her personal Savior as a youth at the revival tent meetings. She was baptized as a teenager in the Jim River at Wolf Creek.

Mom enjoyed singing in the church choir and lady's chorus. She taught Sunday school class and Vacation Bible School.

She worked for 20 years at the Freeman Hospital and enjoyed working as a volunteer at the Etc. Shop.

Many hours were spent reading the Bible and praying for her family. She also was an avid reader of many Christian books.

Grateful for sharing her life are her children: Deanne Yugovich (Mike) of Colorado, Jeffrey Ensz (Judy) of Oklahoma and Sue Schmidt (Rick) of Sioux Falls, SD; six grandchildren: Beth, Steve, Trisha, Sean, Gabe and Becky; two step-grandchildren: Tamara and Jeff; seven great-grandchildren: Ashley, Caitlyn, Benjamin, Josiah, Arlo, Tayla and Thane; two step great-grandchildren: Chase and Lauren and many nieces and nephews.

The family of Naomi Ensz wishes to express their gratitude for the many acts of kindness evidenced in your thought and deed. A special thank you to the nurses and doctors at Oakview who took such loving care of our mother.

Memorials will go to the Gideons International.

A private burial was held with immediate family present.
