Katherine Buseman, 95, of Marion passed away on Feb. 22nd at the Tieszen Memorial Home in Marion. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, Feb. 27th at 2 pm at Bethesda Church of rural Marion. Visitation will begin at 1 pm on Thursday at the church prior to the Funeral Service.
Katherine Buseman passed away on Feb. 22nd at the Tieszen Memorial Home in Marion at the age of 95. She was born on July 1st, 1929 to Oidy and Irene (Reddington) Strong in Rockford Illinois.
Katherine married George Buseman in 1963.
Katherine accepted Jesus Christ as her savior at the age of 33. She was baptized and joined Spring Valley Baptist church and was a member there until it closed. She then joined First Baptist church of Emery until she and George moved to Marion. In Marion they became members of Bethesda Church.
Katherine was a good worker on the farm. She helped George with much of the work and was good at driving the tractor and operating machinery. She also enjoyed the time she spent volunteering at the Canistota and Marion nursing homes. She then became a resident of the Tieszen home along with her husband George in 2020.
Katherine is survived by her husband George, Colleen and Steve Reynolds of Sedalia, Missouri, Nancy and son David Buseman of Deltona, Florida, Sofia Catellano and her children Kayla, Ivan, Nola, and Marchella of Kansas City, Missouri, Kenneth Cox and his children Ainsley and Xander of Kansas City, Missouri, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents and Dale Buseman.
