Jerry Weber Sr. 92 of Bridgewater, passed away October 3rd at Dougherty Hospice house in Sioux Falls. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 9th at 10:30 am at St Stephen's Catholic Church in Bridgewater. Visitation will be from 5pm to 7pm on Tuesday at the church with a Rosary at 7pm.

Gerald (Jerry) Leo Weber was born September 6th, 1932 to Bernard and Susan (Yontz) Weber. He attended 8 years of grade school at St Stephen’s Catholic School and graduated from Bridgewater High School in 1950. He married Rhoda Marie Beaner on June 10th, 1954. He farmed in the Bridgewater – Canistota area with his sons, Jeff and Jerry, Jr. In his early years of farming, he also worked at John Morrell’s, ran a paper route for the Minneapolis Star, and delivered soft water. Jerry worked with seed corn from 1968 – 1993.
Rhoda and Jerry had 5 children, Cathy (Dennis) Frisch of Lindsay NE, Jeff (Sharon) Weber of Bridgewater, Melanie of Yankton, Laurie (John) Evans of Stillwater MN, and Jerry, Jr (Kim) Weber of Bridgewater. After 34 years of marriage, Rhoda passed away in 1988.
Grandchildren Jenessa (Freddie) Olson, La Nae Wiese, Chantel (Jared) Sempek, Calvin (Allison) Frisch, Carl (Callie) Frisch, Nikki (Dave) Even, Kenny (Lacey) Weber, Megan (Taylor) Schumacher, Melissa Evans, Jake (Whitney) Evans, David (Jade) Evans, Susan (Will) Evans, Caitlin (Eric) Bernt, Jaden (Hailey) Weber, Jerret (Ashley) Weber, Moxon Weber, Witton Weber, Monroe Weber, Skogon Weber.
Great-Grandchildren Raz Carlock, Olive Thenne, Hazel Sempek, June Sempek, Arlie Frisch, Rosie Frisch, Brinley Frisch, Grafton Stroup, Brianna Even, Miles Even, Landon Even, Jackson Weber, Levi Weber, Beckett Weber, Navy Weber, Eleanor Schumacher, Lily Schumacher, Holden Evans, Briggs Evans, Carver Evans, Georgia Bents, Josey Bernt, Jacob Bernt, Liam Weber, Lainey Weber.
Jerry married Mary Theel on June 10, 1990 and instantly became step-father to her children Dennis, Dawn, Doug, Darin, Derrick (deceased), Donnie, and Darcee along with their spouses and many more grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Jerry enjoyed fishing, especially with his son, Jeff. He and both Rhoda and Mary enjoyed traveling, seeing most of the United States. Jerry and Mary spent 23 years Wintering in Lake Havasu, AZ.
He is proceeded in death by his wives Rhoda, Mary, parents, brothers Eugene, Ralph, John (Jack), Thomas, Steve and Bernard (Bernie). He is survived by his sister, Mary, brother-in-law Lloyd Schallenkamp, Sister-in-law Rosalie Weber, his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.
